About this Cook
I live in rural NW Montana with my DH Robert, and our dogs and cat.
My favorite things to cook
I have always loved to bake, even when I was little. I am still working on the cooking part, but will always love to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When my Grandma was alive, every holiday was at her house with lots of wonderful food. I wished that I had thought to learn more from her before she passed away.
My cooking triumphs
I made chocolate mousse from scratch as a teenager and it was great! I now bake for my husbands clients and also put together their lunches and have gotten raves from professional chefs and caterers - that is a wonderful compliment.
My cooking tragedies
There are far too many to count... lets just say that when it comes to cooking, common sense is not one of my gifts.

Raspberry Ice Cream
Simple, but wonderful. We had many berries left over from last year - what a wonderful way to use them. I used Splenda in place of the sugar and could not taste a difference.

Baby Shower Raspberry Dip
I made this today and I must confess that I did not read until just now that the raspberries were to be a garnish.. oops. I used splenda and some sugar free raspberry flavoring that I had on had and it turned out very well. In using low fat and sugar free ingredients, I ended up with a guilt free dip for my fruit!

The Best Lemon Bars
Oh my word, these are just wonderful - they go together quickly and taste wonderful. When my husband tasted these, he told me to throw away all the other recipes and only use this one from now on. His clients love these bars! I would suggest the fresh juice - it only takes a minute and gives a better flavor.
