About this Cook
I'm a spaz but I like to cook. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and luckily my boyfriend will pretty much eat everything and he isn't a harsh critic.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook chicken breast and coming up with (I hope) new chicken breast ideas.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I can't really say there are any.... unless you count polish sausage, mac and cheese, and corn.... my mom wasn't much of a cook.
My cooking triumphs
I decided to wing a gorgonzola alfredo sauce, so I purchased gorgonzola cheese, a roasted garlic alfredo, bowties, and spinach. I cooked the alfredo and gorgonzola in a saucepan on medium high for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese was melted and added the spinach. I cooked the noodles according to the box, threw it all together, and served. My boyfriend LOVED it!
My cooking tragedies
I am a spaz. ask anyone. I wanted to bring a dish for a potluck at work, and I was staying at my father's while he was out of town. I couldn't decide what to bring and at this point I wasn't very much of a cook anyway, so I figured I would just bring some spaghetti. I purchased sauce and noodles.... but when I got home I discovered my dad had turned off the gas while he was away. He didn't expect me to cook. I got this brilliant idea to grab a stack of printer paper and burn it on the stove and I GUESS (i have no idea WHAT i was thinking) hold the pot over the flame. The entire house filled up with smoke due to the glossy paper and the dog even looked at me like i was nuts. I put the fire out, opened all the windows, and aired out the house. Good thing my dad lives on a farm, otherwise the neighbors would have called the fire department. Probably should have too. needless to say, I didn't have anything for potluck the next day but the story definately made up for it.
