About this Cook
I remember days when I would rather be out mowing the yard then be stuck in the kitchen. Today you will find quite the opposite. I do a better job of keepin my kitchen spotless than anywhere else in the house. Whether I am baking or cooking, either one is my "ZEN".
My favorite things to cook
Enjoy making homemade ice cream now that its summertime.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When my mom makes Chicken Ragu it is out of the this world! Sometimes I think I died and gone to heaven eating my dad's famous Chicken a-la-creme...a french dish he learned from his aunt and mom.
My cooking triumphs
I successfully smoked my very first brisket. =)
My cooking tragedies
Don't ever try to skip steps when making your own homemade ice cream. I learn the hard way...=(

Oven Pot Roast
My hubbie said it was the best pot roast he's ever tasted! Eating seconds today. I couldn't quite find dry onion soup mix instead used pot roast mix by mccormicks. Since I doubled the recipe I used part white cooking wine/part red wine/part water. I served it with mashed potatoes and gravy was excellent on it!

Cinnamon Rolls III
I didn't realize how easy it was to make my own cinnamon rolls from scratch! it tastes so good fresh from the oven. recipe was easy to follow. do note that it is important that you proof the yeast otherwise dough will not rise. ps. i took another reviewer's suggestion and made a gooey icing using ice cream. scrumptiously delicious!
