About this Cook
Wife, Soldier and mother of one. I absolutely love to cook. I like to try new and different recipes. And I absolutely "glow" when my family raves about my cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts......cakes, cookies, brownies and muffins. The kids in my son's kindergarten class tell him "your mommy is the best baker ever".
My favorite family cooking traditions
Family tradition: I do all the cooking for all holiday gatherings. It's a lot a work, but I love to "host" all of our major gatherings.
My cooking triumphs
Made an Oreo cheesecake from scratch. Everyone loved it. It turned out beautiful. I decorated it with real whipped cream. Looked just like the photo in a women's magazine.
My cooking tragedies
First time I made a pound cake, it turned out horrible. It was way too "heavy" and dense. It seemed to be undercooked and over cooked at the same time. Horrible! After numerous attempts, I'm happy to say my pound cakes are now a "requested" item.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan
This was as good as what you'd get in restaurants. Very delicious. I will definitely make this one of my "go to" receipes. Simple, yet good enough for company.

Cream Cheese Frosting II
PERFECT!!! Will definitely make over and over, and over. I used this on a red velvet cake. I'd like to use some on a spice cake, carrot cake and maybe some banana bread/cake.

Millie Pasquinelli's Fried Chicken
This was very moist, tender and juicy. I followed the recipe but scaled it down to six pieces. I'm a Southern girl and I do love "fried" chicken. This is one of three recipes that I've found on this site and really love. This is the simpliest of the three. I will definitely make this again and again.
