Scott Ure's Clams And Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
Excellent recipe! A five star restaurant in our town makes this dish, with two additions that make a truly phenominal recipe. First is to add 1/4 cup of lemon juice after the clams finish cooking, and second is to add 1/2 cup of thinly sliced onions to the wine while it is reducing. Thanks you for a fantastic recipe!

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
I've made this recipe at least 20 times and it always gets great reviews. I learned a simpler wasy to make this is to cut the rack into individual chops, cover each with mustard and then with breadcrumb mixture and then saute in a frying pan on med-high heat 3-4 min on each side. Fast and scrumptious! use panko breadcrumbs.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

The turkey was delicious, but be warned that if you try to use the drippings for gravy it will be super salty because of all the seasoning salt.

Gulliver's Cream Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
This was fantastic! I couldn't find MSG so I used Johnny's poultry seasoning instead (it contains MSG). I had to add twice as much flour to thicken it up. I then transferred it to a baking dish, sprinkled w/ parmesan cheese and baked at 375 until cheese was melted. It was delicious and there were no leftovers!Thank you for a great recipe.

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
This was a delicious dish after incorporating suggestions of other reviewers. I used fresh frozen green beans which I steamed for 5 min. I skipped the milk and added 1/2 cup sour cream instead. I also added 3/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and 1 med chopped souteed onion. I baked the above mixture as directed and I added French onions on top but did not mix them into the beans (they don't taste good if soggy). Everyone loved the dish and was asking me for the recipe. Needless to say there were no leftovers :)

Banana Pudding IV

I've made this recipe 6 times and it always gets great reviews. Adding strawberries, sliced kiwi, and blackberries helps balance out the sweet taste and makes for a wonderful presentation. If you are in a hurry you can stick the dish in the freezer for half hour instead of refrigerating it.

Baby BLT

Takes time, but well worth the effort. They are colorful, festive, and quite tasty. Disappear in minutes. Serve on a platter surrounded by crackers. I also recommend adding chopped celery, grated mozzarella cheese, and sprinkling with paprika.

Almond-Crusted Halibut Crystal Symphony

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This is by far the best halibut recipe I ever tried. I cooked it twice for guests and everyone loved it. I recommend using 2/3 of the suggested butter amount for the sauce, but brushing the crusted halibut with a little of the melted butter before sticking it under the broiler.
