I became a mother in July of 2004. I am now a stay at home mother, with a husband who works really hard to support us so that I can be here, and I think he deserves to have a wife that can cook great meals for him.
I want my daughter to grow up cooking, and in order to do that, I need to start learning now.
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking anything that I am good at. So far, I've gotten pretty good at pot roast, meatloaf, turkey, spaghetti, and stuffed bellpeppers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I wasn't brought up cooking, so I don't know any family cooking traditions, but I hope to begin some for my own family.
My cooking triumphs
I just recently figured out how to make gravy, and realized that I can make gravy out of ANYTHING! My family has put on a few pounds since this discovery.
My cooking tragedies
I was making Au Gratin potatoes out of a box. I forgot that the water I added was supposed to be boiling, so I just placed the casserole dish onto the burner for a minute to heat it up. Then put it into the oven to bake. I heard a crashing sound, and guess what?? I learned something new. My potatoes were all over the over. Now it was time to learn how to clean an oven.
