As the youngest of 5 kids, I am the last to learn mom's REALLY good recipes, but catching on quick since I have 2 kids of my own now! This site has really added to what I can do for my 2 girls and my husband for dinner time ( since this is the only time we are all together! ) Anything I can throw into the crock pot, especially since it's getting colder here in the midwest. I just love to smell something in the slow cooker all day long! As a kid we always had the oppritunity to choose what we wanted mom to make for dinner on our birthday. Her home- made spagetti and meatballs was always my fav. Since I have my own kids, I have carried on that tradition for them, and through this site have found a lot of new recipes to add to the favorite list! My first Thanksgiving dinner, completly done by myself 2 years ago! I even cooked the home made pies! I haven't had one yet...but I'm sure at some point there will be something that I make that nobody will eat!
