My favorite things to cook
Soups. I love cooking soups. They are quick, easy, and a good way to get your veggies in and your belly full. I also love making Mexican and Asian dishes.
My cooking triumphs
My own egg dish, something between a strata and a quiche. I use left over high quilty whole grain breads, which I grind into crumbs, fresh herbs from the garden, different veggies, and sliced green olives. I use yummy cheeses such as feta or blue cheese. It is always a bit different, but always yummy. I even got my husband to eat onion with this dish. I just puree the raw onion in the milk, and he could not tell it was in there, but the taste was wonderful.
My cooking tragedies
I am not used to cooking pot roast, and the first time I made it I was making it for a crowd. It was not bad (so I am told, being a vegetarian I did not try it), but it was dry. Even though I am a veggie, I usually cook meats very well.
