Chicken Thighs Surprise

WOW! What a great recipe! I did make changes - I used cream of celery soup instead, and the vegetables were zucchini, mushrooms, and onions. I added 1/4 t. of cayenne pepper, 1/2 t. granulated garlic, and 1 1/2 t. bouquet garni to the soup/broth sauce. My husband could not get enough! I suggest serving this dish with rice.

French Toast Corners

This is one of the best French Toast recipes I have found. Instead of making "corners", just use regular bread, and I doubled the recipe. If anyone bakes homemade bread that makes the BEST French Toast ever. Sourdough bread also has great flavor.

Easy Vodka Sauce

This is a wonderful sauce that is very well suited for ravoli. I did add a tablespoon of dried parsley. Also, watch the cooking time - this sauce can be done in less time than an hour. Make sure you stir often or it will stick and burn.

Raspberry Walnut Baked Brie

This was so simple AND very impressive. I used a 19 ounce round of brie and 2 pastry sheets. One did not reach all the way on the 19 ounce wheel, so I used another. Also used a bit more of the jam and walnuts - RAVE REVIEWS!

Scalloped Potatoes

I made this dish for our Xmas Eve office dinner and everyone LOVED it! The only changes I made was heating the milk, butter, and cheese on the stove. I also added 1 teaspoon of Fox Point seasoning (from Penzeys Spice). I also used new red potatoes. The flavor was great!

Mushroom Prosciutto Pasta

I made this last night and WOW! You must use prosciutto. I did add a couple spices/seasoning...the first was a teaspoon of Fox Point(this is a blend from Penzeys Spices) and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon thyme. For those of you not familiar with Fox Point - this is a blend of shallots, chives, garlic, onion, and green peppercorns. With these added spices, this dish was wonderful!!

Lemon Barbeque Meatloaf

What a GREAT dish! My husband just loved it and leftovers made a tastie sandwich next day. The only thing I did different is use fresh bread crumbs instead of day-old broken bread. Added 1 cup of crumbs - this was perfect!

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Made this for Christmas Eve and everyone LOVED it!! My first crack at egg nog and I would make this one again. The two things I did different is not cook the mixture until thick, just hot and used dark rum instead.

Kraft's Seven Layer Salad

I took this salad to a family gathering and it was the first to go! I added 1/2 teaspoon of Fox Point seasoning (from Penzeys Spices which is a blend of salt, shallots, chives, garlic, onion, and green peppercorns)to the mayo. It gave the salad a litte "kick"!
