About this Cook
I love cooking and baking and finding new and delicious recipes - especially from this website!
My favorite things to cook
Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry, Roast Beef with Gravy, Pork Chops simmered in cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup
My favorite family cooking traditions
Frosted sugar cookies at Christmas and any other holiday that I have time to make them.
My cooking triumphs
My frosted holiday sugar cookies
My cooking tragedies
I was following a recipe for cheesy potatoes that was meant to serve 20 people. I adjusted all of the ingredients so it would serve 5 people instead - all of the ingredients except for the butter that is. Needless to say it didn't turn out the greatest and my husband refused to eat anymore once he found out how much butter was actually in the "reduced servings" recipe.

Slow Cooker Stuffing
This is the best stuffing recipe ever! It tastes a lot like Stove Top, only better because it's homemade. I cut an Italian bread loaf into cubes and toasted them in the oven the day before. The next day I cooked everything in the slowcooker, except I left out the mushrooms and some of the extra spices besides poultry seasoning & sage. I also used only 3 cups of chicken broth and it came out PERFECT! I will definitely be making this recipe again!

Rosemary Mashed Potatoes and Yams with Garlic and Parmesan
These potatoes are awesome... and I am NOT a fan of sweet potatoes!

Amish White Bread
Love this recipe, this bread has the BEST texture! I use this recipe for cinnamon bread. I roll it out into a rectangle and sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar and then roll it up from the short end. I put it in a bread pan and let it raise and then bake. Much better than the store-bought cinnamon breads!!
