About this Cook
She really makes a mean casserole.... I love the melding of many ingredients to the delight of my family, and my meat and potato husband. He tries to pretend disinterest but the lack of leftovers tells the tale.
My favorite things to cook
I love multiple ingredients and lots of flavor. If a recipe calls for onion use scallions you will never be disappointed.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Teach your sons to cook well and they really will eat at college and meet nice girls that can cook as well.
My cooking triumphs
To entertain 100 guests and was able to keep my food fresh, hot and safe. Always remember to be aware of how long your food sits out.....
My cooking tragedies
My husband and I tried to raise and cook a chicken. What a horrible idea. Man versus wild we aren't. Thank you safeway

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts
I didn't make any changes to this recipe. Served it at a large party at my home and it was gone in less than 20 minutes. Next time I will double the batch. Great recipe.

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage
This is a very easy wonderful recipe. I used only one can of vegetable pasta sauce and a small can of tomato sauce which was plenty of liquid. I also left my pasta a little under cooked for baking. I say it is a must to use the full two cups of cheese as topping. Great recipe....

Golden Sweet Cornbread
This is the best cornbread recipe I have every made. I did use muffin papers in a tin and I can't believe how moist this recipe turns out. We made them with ham and bean soup and it was a hit will the entire family. This recipe is also very fast. It's a keeper.
