About this Cook
Student, artist, tired all the time.
My favorite things to cook
- grilled cheese and its many variations. - mexican fare - anything with rice or noodles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We used to get together to make tamales with my grandmother when I was younger, however that has stopped and we have since taken up the practice of buying them. However, I intend to master all of the awesome dishes that my grandma used to make me in my youth.
My cooking triumphs
I don't have many. My latest triumph has been not burning anything as of late.
My cooking tragedies
Too many, too salty, undercooked, overcooked, burnt, forgot an ingredient. i've fallen victim to them all.

Conchas (Mexican Sweet Bread)
while they were quite tasty, they took on a more cinnamon-bread like texture. they were very unlike the bread i purchase at the panerias around town. if anyone has a recipe thats closer, let me know.
