Married, Retired, 3 Grown daughters, 4 dogs, 1 cat
1 barn cat, 1 Parrot. Received Kidney transplant 11 years ago. My wife now works and I do all the cooking and attempt to keep house.
My favorite things to cook
Pretty much anything that doesn't have too many ingredients. So I am lazy , what can I say.
My favorite family cooking traditions
New Years eve Gormet Dinner for two for the last 30 years. I have only repeated the menu once, but as we get older some ingredients can no longer be used so it gets tougher every year. Additionally, we now live in a rural area and some ingredients are tough to come by, so I do a lot of substitutions.
My cooking triumphs
I make one hell of a Cannelloni. Not my own recipe but one out of an old set of Time Life Cookbooks.
Tons of calories, colesterol and other evil things we aren't supposed to eat these days, but then you only live once.
My cooking tragedies
I once made what should have been a simple beef stew. I put in a little too much pepper. Even the dogs and cats would have nothing to do with it.
