Peach Cobbler I
WAY TOO SWEET!!! I was hoping this was going to be a wonderful hybrid between bread pudding and fruit cobbler and it ended up being a gross hybrid of both. I tossed it in the garbage. If you do try it- cut the sugar WAY back- to maybe 1/2 cup.

Blueberry Crisp II
For a super quick dessert that doesnt use eggs, milk, or butter- this isnt bad. But... its not the best either. I am not sure why it had such great ratings. To me, this is more of an "just ok" cobbler and not a crisp. I used fresh mixed berries from the farmers market and they saved the dessert. I followed the recipe exactly but doubled it because i had a ton of berries- i also cooked it in a 9x13 pan. I also used low fat mayo (maybe this was the problem??). The topping just sort of stayed doughy and never really crisped up. It was sort of like eating dough balls on the top of really good berries. I think there are better recipes out there for crisps and cobblers and will keep searching....

Strawberry Bread
YUMMY!! I made this bread with our local Oregon strawberries and it turned out SO good. I did make it a bit healthier- i used half whole wheat flour and applesauce for half the oil. I also only added 1 1/2 cups of sugar instead of the 2 cups- the strawberries were plenty sweet as was the applesauce. Anyway- fantastic bread- I will make it again!!
