First thing to remember that this is a "quick bread" not a "yeast bread", so it will be dense. After reading reviews of blandness and dryness I made some changes that made a quite taste outcome. I added 2 TBS of melted butter and another 1/4 cup of milk. I used 1 TBS EACH of caraway seeds (crushed in my hand), herbs de Provence, oregano and parsley. I upped the salt to 1 tsp. And I added a dash of onion and garlic powder just cause. I liken it to a biscuit made in a loaf pan. 4* cause it was a good starter recipe, it just needed some help.
