Hubby and I in Ensanada, Mexico.

About this Cook
I'm a super busy, newly wed, twenty something who loves to experiment in the kitchen! I love taking recipes and adding my own twist. I watch the Food Network all the time and am always learning and applying new tips and tricks.
My favorite things to cook
I love Mexican food and my husband loves Chinese so those are both pretty popular staples in our house.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking around Christmas time!!
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered the art of cheesecake. Mmmm.
My cooking tragedies
I followed a recipe, to a T once and I had to leave it in the oven for an HOUR longer than stated (it was pork that never came up to temperature) and after waiting a horribly long time it tasted terrible, there were burnt parts, things on the stove were boiling over, it was not fun. But, I have grown and learned since :)

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce
This was DE-LISH! I read reviews before hand and I too used half milk, half cream and half parmesan, half romano cheese. I did not find the cream cheese over powering at all. The texture is great and it reheats wonderfully! This is definitely a keeper in our house!!

Easy Pasta Casserole
I made this recipe tonight and enjoyed it. I did a couple things different though, I added garlic salt to the sauce and fresh minced garlic and onion to the meat. For pasta I used wheat spiral pasta. I also used half the pasta and twice the cheese. Very easy to make and delicious! Thanks for sharing!

Wild Rice and Asparagus Chicken Breasts
I just made this tonight for dinner and it's delicious! I will definately be making this again. I have never cooked with hoisin sauce but it is wonderful. It's a little on the sweet side so I might use a tad bit less brown sugar next time, but it is definately on the permanent menu. Thanks for the recipe!!
