This is an excellent dish. I don't change anything in it but I am one to just throw things together instead of measuring. I make this often and actually am online now to send this recipes to several people where I work. [brought it for lunch and heard lots of oohs and ahhs after sharing]. Thank you so much! I am sooo so sorry but I nor my family that I had over for Christmas dinner liked this eggnog. It was too strong in the liquor taste. We couldn't drink it at all and believe me, we are not a family of angels that don't drink. I went exactly by the recipe and even managed to not scorch the milk. I enjoyed making it but threw all of it out this morning. Is there an actual "light rum" like there is light beer? I used the clear colored rum that I would considered light and hope that wasn't what messed it up. If I ever get the nerve to make it again, I will use less rum. Please let me know what I did wrong.

My daughter (15 yrs old), who is a picky eater, loved this recipe. I didn't think it was that good, although I had a cold that affected my taste and I also had to substitute some items. I couldn't get the fresh sage, parsley, or oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes at my local grocery store so I had to use the bought bottle kind. The tomatoes I used were just dried. I had more tenderloin than it called for so I increased the cream and broth by 1/4 cup. I had never had prosciutto and it was very expensive here (WV). It almosted tasted like country ham to me! I certainly enjoyed cooking it and seeing all those beautiful colors!
