About this Cook
I'm a student at Iowa State University and I cook for my fiancee most every night. He's a little picky and hates vegetables, but I'm slowly getting him to eat them! My mom is a wonderful cook, and a lot of the recipes I have are from her collection.
My favorite things to cook
I really love to bake, but when it comes to dinner, my favorite dish to prepare is probably lasagna. I like labor intensive meals when I have the time, because then I know how hard I worked to get something that great!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom has always cooked well, and since she was married when she was 17, she started young like I did and just got better from there. When I visit there, I love helping her cook.
My cooking triumphs
I would have to say the first time I made a pork roast. I was really worried, and I made it for several friends, but it went over quite well (I got the recipe from this website!).
My cooking tragedies
The first few times I broiled bread- like seasoned french bread and whatnot-I always forgot about what I had in there and I burned quite a few loaves!

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef
Good tasting, but nothing out of the ordinary. Reminded us of biscuits and gravy with beef instead of sausage!

Blueberry Buckle II
Great for dessert and breakfast. My roommates ate it without even asking!
