About this Cook
I have always enjoyed baking, but now that I am married(to a husband who loves to eat and eats alot!) I have taken to liking to cook too. I think he is quite impressed with my cooking ability too. Very rarely do I make something that he thinks is bad. We both like to watch the Food Network and the Brewers!! This site has been great for me and trying new things! I have even shared a few things with my Mom, who probably thought I would never want to cook!!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, Mexican, Italian
My favorite family cooking traditions
I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to help me in the kitchen. I really want her to enjoy cooking and baking as well. Hopefully we can make some cooking traditions of our own.
My cooking triumphs
Really any time a meal turns out and both my husband and I like it! I hate when I spend so much time in the kitchen, and the results are not good or worth all the effort. I am especially happy when my husband brags to others about my cooking.
My cooking tragedies
I had to call my Mom(who wasnt home) and then my brother to ask if I could use butter instead of margarine...and once I called my Mom wondering what confectioners sugar was! I bet there are plenty of more tragedies to come!

Slammin' Salmon
We liked this alot, and it only marinated like 1 1/2 hours! I can only imagine how good it will be when I try it next time after marinating it all day! I added a bit less ginger, but other then that didnt change a thing! Yummy! A keeper, as we say! Oh, yeah..I just used canola oil because I did nto have peanut oil.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce
This was very good! I have never had falafel before and my husband was a bit concerned when I said I was going to make it! He was wondering where the meat was! But WOW! We both liked this alot! I served them in pitas with the sauce(which was yummy!) and tomatoes! I made 12 total falafel. Because I dont like to fry things, I greased a pan with EVOO and baked at 450 for 20 min total(flipping after 10min)! They were perfect! As my husband said...this recipe is a keeper!

Ham and Green Bean Casserole
We did not really like this recipe. My husband who will usually eat anything toook 2 bites and got the leftovers out of the fridge to eat instead. I didnt think it was that bad, but definately nothing special(which I didnt expect it to be I just was looking for a recipe to use up the little ham I had leftover from a party we had a few days prior.)
