Twenty Four Hour Layered Salad
I make this recipe every year for Thanksgiving, and look forward to this more than anything else. I do not use mushrooms, and you could add any veggies you like (i.e. broccoli, tomatoes). The dressing is the key, as is letting it all set for at LEAST a day. (Even better -- it's done before the meal crunch!)

Deluxe Waffles
The taste was good, but the batter was VERY runny. After a disasterous 1st attempt on my waffle maker, I added some extra flour to get the right consistency and thought they were great. Followed earlier reviews and added vanilla and cinnamon -- might try pecans, and substituting a reduced amount of butter for the oil the next time. Nice texture and flavour. An earlier review also suggested not using spray on your non-stick waffle maker b/c of the amount of oil....tried it, failed miserably, won't try it again! :o)

Apple Dumplings I
I wanted to find a recipe to make with my kids and their friend for a playdate, and thought this looked simple and easy. I substituted crescent roll dough for the biscuits, and used a little less water. It was really easy to make, and the kids thought it was great, but it was a bit doughy on the bottom and most of the flavor was on the outside. Next time I would toss the apples in the sauce with a little cinnamon before wrapping, follow another reviewers suggestion and cook for 10 minutes before pouring the sauce over to make it less doughy, and sprinkle some pecans on top. Quick, easy and "yummy" recipe.
