About this Cook
I love to cook and bake:-) I am married and have 3 kids.I am currently in college, majoring in medical assisting.I have 6 piercings and 4 tattoos(more tattoos to come!).
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake anything sweet. I also love to make big "southern" dinners.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember when I was a little girl I used to always help my mom in the kitchen or I would stand at her side and watch her cook/bake everything.I love when my kids do the same thing to me now b/c it brings back memories.
My cooking triumphs
There's not really one thing that stands out in my mind as a triumph.Everything I make usually comes out good.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I ever made a pumpkin pie, I followed the directions to a T. I baked it for the time it said and let it cool.Later, I offered to get my family a piece and we all bit into it and wanted to puke. it was not cooked all the way through.I was disappointed! Now,my pies come out perfect.I'm not sure what was wrong with that pie!!

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes
this recipe was really yummy. It tasted like the base for loaded potatoes.I had so much left over that I froze it for another meal.Next time,I will add cheese, green onions and bacon and have loaded potatoes:-)

Cinnamon Bread I
OMG! this bread is yummy!I was in the mood for something with cinnamon in it and looked it up and this recipe popped up.Thank god it did b/c it was simple to make and really really good.I will say that for the topping I changed it slightly as others suggested.I used half white and half brown sugar.I also doubled it and added some to the middle of the bread.I mixed up 1/4cup white sugar and 3/4t cinnamon and greased my pan with that.I will definitely make this again!thanks for such a great recipe:-)
