I have three children and six grandchildren. I am raising my grandson and my 85 yr. old dad. I love to bake cakes and pies, I also like cooking with fresh fruits and veggies. On Sunday everyone meets at my house for a home cooked meal. My kids love Southern foods. I recently made some homeade fried apple pies, everything from scratch. I made 18 pies and they all were ate that morning. I found a recipe for chess bars on the internet. My mom used to make these all the time. This one did not taste good to me. My dad liked it, just wasn't what I expected.
