Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2008
It was easy and fairly good, but something was missing. I always try to make a recipe exactly as read the first time. Next time, I will add thyme, nutmeg, garlic, white pepper and sea salt. Also, a cup more broth. But tasty. And I prefer the pureed soups.

Braised Beef Short Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
Loved this recipe, and so easy! I also added 1/2 cup of red wine to the braising liquid, and added a little gravy master to the gravy to darken the sauce. Next time, I will cook the potatoes seperately as one other reviewer had suggested; they just get a little too mushy cooked with everything else. Will definitley make again!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
My husband says this recipe is better than his Mom's! Followed it to a tee, and it was delicious. Froze half of the peppers uncooked, and tasted just as good once I baked them as the original.

Portofino Lamb and Artichoke Risotto

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
We use this recipe for leftover lamb, and it is outstanding. Had to cook longer than indicated, but well worth the stirring! I also used Parmesan Reggiano and it was heavenly. And the risotto isn't all that pink....delicious!

Chinese Roast Chicken with Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
We will definitely make this chicken again!! AWESOME!! I used a whole onion and stalk of celery with minced ginger in cavity. Slathered oil then soy sauce. Added 1 cup orange juice to roasting pan. Baked breast down for one hour and breast up for rest. Gravy: 2 cups chicken stock added to pan drippings and cornstarch diluted in water to thicken. Best gravy I ever ate. (and made)

Leftover Chicken a la King

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
This was really tasty!! I have always made a roux and added milk for a white sauce in the past, but this was more flavorful with the chicken stock added. Be careful not to over use the cornstarch thickening agent; if you do, you shoud start with a larger can of evaporated milk. This was easy and fast, and my hubbie said to make this again! Served over big biscuits. YUM!

Cheddar Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
We love this simple and tasty recipe! I have also added finely chopped left over broccoli to the dipping bread mixture and it adds another dimension and a bit more color. Great week night recipe!

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
LOVED THIS RECIPE! Tasted better than I thought! I melted the butter in a dish in the microwave with the garlic, dipped my chicken, and used that same baking dish for the chicken to bake in. Delicious! Also substituted fresh parsley, which made a nice color combo to the rest of the ingredients. Sprinkled the leftover bread crumbs and cheese as directed on top and the browning effect looked nice and tasted great. I cooked the chicken for almost a full hour, though (big boneless breasts) and it was juicy and yummy!

BBQ Chicken Pizza I

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
This is my husbands favorite recipe!! I use bottled hickory smoked BBCue sauce and plan it so I have leftover chicken from another night's meal (usually from a roasted chickenI've made or store bought), chop it up, and its so easy! You'll be roasting chickens just so you can make pizza-I guarantee it!!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
My husband and I loved this dish; it was easy to prepare, perfect for a hot night when you don't want an oven on too long. I changed the cheese to a mix of swiss and gouda, since I din't have the Jack, and it was scrumptous!! He could not stop raving! Definitely a weekly meal!
