I am 44, going on 45 in January 2006. I've worked as a cashier in a conven-
ience store for the past 4 yrs. I have an 18 year old son that lives down in Austin with some friends of his. I prefer cats to dogs.
My favorite things to cook
Shake n'Bake butterfly pork chops, or boneless chicken breasts, and thighs w\ macaroni & cheese, or baked potato w\chives, and butter; green beans, or pork n'beans.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chili, or beef stew: for the first snow of winter, "SOS", aka "Chipped Beef on Toast": because my dad learned how to cook it when he was in the Army back during WW2, and Mom's Frito Pie.
My cooking triumphs
Nothing spectacular.
My cooking tragedies
I caught the broiler under the oven on fire, and burned a couple of T-bone steaks back in 1990, because I didn't realize how fast they would cook. Thank God for baking soda ! =)
