Who I am? I'm a mom, a wife, a daughter and when I'm arrogant enough to claim it, an artist. I would hope that to all I am considerate, kind and loving. I would like to be... more creative, brave, sane, intelligent and perhaps, a better cook. I would like to be beautiful. I would like to have made better choices but what would those choices have changed? What (or who) would I have missed? I cannot imagine not having the children I have nor the grandkids they gave me. I love art. I love literature - good literature, that is. Nothing irks me more than a poorly written novel that is making some smuck author fists of money. I don't write. It is something I think about doing often but if I can't do it well, I'd rather not know. I have a somewhat dark sense of humor. I can handle a firearm with accuracy. I once owned a motorcycle that I loved to ride. AND… true confession time - I used to play Dungeons and Dragons for entire weekends at a stretch. That is me, who I am - the part I will tell,
My favorite things to cook
I love Italian food! I've a new interest in Asian food and have starting watching "Simply Ming" whenever I can. Of course, I'm still at the watching phase of this interest. lol
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't know that we have traditions really. Past generations cooked a fairly traditional menu - meat, potatoes, soups, stews. It was always good, though.
My cooking triumphs
My 'goto' meal is the manicotti I make. I make egg crepes rather than use pre-made manicotti shells and the filling varies depending on what I have on hand at the moment.
My cooking tragedies
Once I made a noodle dish in an attempt to be original. It is the only thing my husband ever refused eat and asked never to be served again.
