About this Cook
I have dabbled in culinary arts school, specifically baking. I'm a mother and step mother specializing in creative and artistic treats especially when it comes to Halloween
My favorite things to cook
MUFFINS! cookies and cupcakes. I have been dubbed the muffin goddess.
My favorite family cooking traditions
bake everything all the time. Don't have money to buy Christmas gifts? Make food for everyone.
My cooking triumphs
I made that never fail fudge stuff on the side of the fluff container without screwing up. I've heard that many people can't actually do that.
My cooking tragedies
I cheated and used a pre-made graham cracker crust from the store for my famous key lime pie. Upon removing it from the oven, the weak tinfoil pie pan folded under the weight of the pie and decorated the entire inside of my oven and most of the kitchen with key lime goodness. I had to be out the door in 10 minutes to get to Thanksgiving dinner an hour away.

Dark Chocolate Cake I
I made a coconut cream cheese frosting to go with this cake, and put it in 2 8x8 inch pans instead of the 3 round. It was amazing, according to my lover, who ate it without use of untensils (hey, it's his birthday, his cake. He can do whatever he wants.) He did give a piece to his father who then said "I hope she is a keeper, because this is delicious." My roommate also liked that it was very moist. I myself have yet to try it.

Cinnamon Toffee Bars
I liked this recipe. I don't see how others found it hard. It seemed quite simple to me and I haven't even taken basic baking yet in the culinary arts program I'm in.

Peanut Butter Cookies VI
These cookies were very doughy and lacked flavor. I added 2x the peanut butter and it was a bit better.
