About this Cook
I am a wife and a mother of three young children. I work full time and stay busy!
My favorite things to cook
Cajun food, of course!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family get togethers with way too much food around, but all so wonderful to eat.
My cooking triumphs
I have learned so many wonderful recipes passed down to me by family members. One good thing about cooking cajun is that it is so open to interpretation.
My cooking tragedies
When I first started cooking there were a few mess-ups, but thankfully my husband didn't mind too much!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies
I didn't like these when they first came out of the oven because I tasted too much sugar on them. However after putting them in the crockpot for the party that I took them too, they were really good and the tastes had blended well. We will be making these again. YUM!!!

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting
This was so yummy! I couldn't pipe with it so next time I will add more sugar or less milk. I used Mrs. Richardson's hot fudge topping. WONDERFUL milk chocolate taste!!!! This is a keeper.

Cathy's Banana Bread
I made this recipe just as it called for except I added more bananas. We really enjoyed this recipe.
