Banana Cake V

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
Great recipe! Very reminiscent of banana bread, probably because of my modifications - I used half brown sugar/half cane sugar (will reduce amount next time), added ~1.5tsp cinnamon, added an extra .25-.5c of banana, and a handful (~.25c) of slivered almonds. Fantastic result, but edges were a little too crisp while the inside was perfectly moist. May play around with oven temp next time. Great recipe - thanks for sharing!

Herbed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
Great recipe! I cut back on the onion, just because I didn't have a whole onion. Subbed a few onion flakes, used skim milk and Smart Balance spread instead of butter. Only complaint would be that it is very thick, so added some extra water to make it a little more creamy. 2nd time I added diced red pepper, celery and carrots and it was delish!!!

Cheryl's Spinach Cheesy Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
I cut the amount of this recipe way down, as I only cook for myself. I used elbow pasta instead of shells, added ground Morningstar (salt/pepper/garlic/basil), and used italian breadcrumbs. The mixture of cheeses was great, flavors were awesome and I have more than enough for leftovers!

Black and White Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
This pizza is great! I forgot the jalepenos and wondered why it tasted a little bland. I think next time I'll try seasoning the black beans first to add some spice, and maybe mixing in some chiles. I used the "Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce" recipe on this website - best recipe I've found for this sauce! and only used about 1/4-1/2c. Used whole wheat thin crust, fresh chicken and added fresh spinach - Yumm!!
