Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
One of the best potato dishes I've had. I used 2 T. of melted butter and mixed in the chili powder, pepper and seasoned salt, then poured it over the potatoes and baked it. This dish turned out perfect!

Bar Stool Pretzels

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
I made these for the 4th of July and I didn't have any left. I used sourdough pretzels, put them in a bowl and poured the mixture over them and mixed them up to distribute it evenly. I baked them according to the recipe and mixed them every 15 minutes. When they were done, I laid them on some wax paper to cool. Definitely will make again!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
This dish is fantastic and you don't have to change a thing. Just make sure before you serve it, you mix the pasta with the sauce - that is the key. I do have to comment about the last posting. Don't criticize the recipe when you don't use the ingredients that are called for. The person said the recipe was bland, but used turkey sausage and didn't use the Italian tomatoes - of course it is lacking some taste. If you have to substitute that's fine - but then don't criticize the recipe. You didn't make it like it was intended to be made.

Yummy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
My husband and I didn't care for these at all. The Italian dressing was too over-powering. The chops did come out moist and tender, but we didn't like the taste. Sorry!!

Goldenrod Egg

I have never seen a recipe for this before, but Mom always made this. She just called it Creamed Eggs over Toast, but it's the same recipe. It makes a nice light supper along with a salad. Give it a try!

Cream of Chicken with Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Awesome soup!!! Time consuming - yes, but so well worth it. I sauted the veggies in butter and added a cup of diced carrots and 2 cups of fresh mushrooms. A few reviewers commented that it takes long to thicken the roux. It does, but continue whisking and you will end up with a nice thick roux to add to the soup.

Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
We make this all of the time except we take the skin off of the chicken. Then we rub it lightly with canola oil and cover it with Lawry's. Even without the skin it stays very moist because of the beer. My brother does the same except he covers his chicken with rosemary.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

I made this for Sunday's Packer game and it was a hit. I put everything in a crockpot and served it with tortilla chips and celery. A couple people commented that it was addicting. I didn't make any changes to the recipe and it was GREAT!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
Awesome!! I didn't put in the jalapenos. I just added extra green chilies. I also put in 2 cups of Monteray Jack cheese at the end and let it melt. I serve with crisp tortillas strips to put on top of. I'm making it for the gang tonight for Monday Night football.

Tuna Coney Dogs

My mom always made these for us and now I make them for my kids. I make exactly as the recipe says and they are great. For parties, I cut the buns in half so they're smaller and then after I take them out of the oven, I put them in the slow cooker on warm to keep them heated.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

What a great recipe! We are always on the go, so I love anything in a slow cooker. I also added 1/2 cup of white wine as suggested by others. Served it over noodles. Yummy!!!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

A fantastic appetizer for any occasion. I use a 1/3 piece of cold bacon and roll the bacon in brown sugar that I have spread on a paper plate. The sugar coats the whole piece nicely. After baking, I always put them in the crock pot to keep warm.

Bow Tie Cabbage Salad

What a great salad! Different than what you usually see. I will definitely make this for more gatherings. I made it as written - I just used Splenda for the sugar in the recipe. Next time I think I will add 1/2 cup more of the bowtie pasta. Thanks for the recipe - very good!!

Cheesy Hash Brown Bake

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
A nice turn on the regular cheesy hash brown recipes I've made. I did add some chopped onion and ground pepper. I also put french fried onions on top. I also baked it for 1 hour. I like the cream of potato soup in it.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
I was really excited to make this recipe, but was somewhat disappointed. It was quite bland. I followed the recipe exactly other than flouring the breasts before frying. The chicken was very moist, but the sauce needs something else. I will try it again, but I will add more garlic and try either some sherry or burgandy wine.

Minnesota Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
I made this for supper last night and it was great! The only change I made was to put some extra soup on top of the pork chops. I cooked mine for 1 hour and 45 minutes and the rice was perfect as were the pork chops.
