Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2006
These were really great, very moist. Although they taste great w/ the chocolate chips, I think I might make them again w/out the chips. I used applesauce instead of oil, & brown sugar instead of white. And I was also very generous when adding the pumpkin, added alittle more then i was supossed to.

Original Homemade Italian Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
Although my husband seemed to like this and he ate all of it. I thought it smelled wonderful, but it just didn't look good to me. The meat looked to soft and fatty. I was hopeing the meat would be tougher, I HATE soft meat. My husband might have liked it but I'm never making it again.

Strawberry Fluff

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2006
I made this for my husband because I am not allowed to eat fruit. He wanted to use Orange Jell-O. He really liked this. It was funny to watch him eat it cause he was trying to do his homework at the same time. He'd take a bit set it down, try to study but not even a second later he'd pick it back up and eat more, he couldn't stop eating it. I tried some and picked around the pineapple, and it really is delicious. I might make one for me and omit the pineapple and double up on the cottage cheese. This would be a fantasitc dish for a party. Thank you so much.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2006
Next time I will use oil instead of butter cause my butter evaporated and all that was left was garlic and that didn't work very well so my chicken doesn't really have any garlic taste to it. And next time i'll use Italian Bread crumbs for more flavor. But overall it was pretty good. I did use foil to cover the bottom of the pan and that worked out great. I used fat free cheddar and no salt. Today I am eating the left overs cold chopped up put in a hot dog bun & I topped it w/ a Cheddar Parmesan Ranch Dressing i'm trying to use up, and it tases wonderful.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2006
I also added a clove of garlic and half an onion to give it more flavor, and still didn't like it. I wished I'd used Honey Dijon instead of just plain Dijon, the Honey Dijon was calling to me saying it would taste better but in the end I decided to follow what the recipe said. I might try to make it once more, but next time I will cook the chicken in some organic chicken broth instead of oil & butter, and use more onion, maybe even add some other seasoning, I will add a can of peas to the sauce at the end and I will serve it over biscuits instead of w/ rice. I'll update if I try it.

Onion, Garlic, Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
Had enough onion taste, but even though I added alot of extra garlic powder it had no garlic taste. If I make again I'm going to use real garlic. I didn't really like this, it didn't cook all the way in the middle and it just taste like a plain onion bread.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
Very good. At first when I had tasted everything together when it had only been cooking for a short time, I thought: "oh my god what did I do" I started to think that maybe I should've rinsed off the can of baked beans. They had a sauce w/ them and thought it would give it alot more flavor. Well for awhile I thought it really messed up the sweet taste I had going. But after a few hours in the crock pot it all tasted wonderful. I'm just not so sure that I like the mixture off all different beans, but that is my only complaint, oh and that it needs alittle more sugar. Also I thought that 1/2c mollasses would be to much so I only added 1/4c and 1/4c maple syrup. Turned out great.

Texas BBQ Chicken

After reading the list of ingrediants I thought this was going to be really hot. Me and my husband both like this, but I don't know if I really like the taste that the vegetable juice cocktail gives it. It all taste good on JUST the chicken but not on anything else, like rice, etc....

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
I am not allowed to eat beans, tomatos, and salsa but this sounded so good I made for my husband. It took me awhile to figure out how to mash the pinto beans I made a huge mess with that but finally figured it out. The pinto bean mixture looked gross but smelt good. The black bean mixture smelled really bad. I thought to myself, "what am I doing, he is not going to eat this mess"! It calls for 7 Tortillas, but I only used 5 I do not know where the other 2 go, maybe I was supposed to double up or something? Anyway after it cooked it still didn't look very tasty, and I was afraid he would try it and spit it out but when he tasted it his eyes got so big and he said "mmmmmmmmm oh my god its so good, I love it" Since I'm not allowed to eat it I asked him what it taste like and he said he can't describe it but just taste like REALLY good mexican food. I am adding this recipe to our family recipe book, its a keeper. THANX!

Mushroom Patties

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
OH my god this is amazing. This is my favorite recipe i've made on this site. I can not eat pecan so i used Almonds instead, I almost used the whole packet of onion soup mix but i think it gave it more flavor. Also I can't have the condensed soup so i used an Organic Cream of Mushroom but still added the milk. They smelt amazing when i was done mixing everything but when i tried to fry them they all fell apart and it looked like i was cooking hashbrowns, but i do not care what they look like they taste so good I was ready to dump it into a bowl and just eat it like that. After I baked it with soup it was even better, I will be making this again and again. Thank you Donna for such an amazing recipe.

Easiest Eggplant

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
I do not like eggplant at all, but i decided to try this recipe thinking that all vegetable must taste good its just depends on how they are cooked. Well i'm glad I gave it a try, this is the first time I've been able to eat eggplant with out making a face. Today I'm eating the left over as I write this, and i've made it into a sandwhich with more mayo and ketchup on the bread and I put a slice of swiss on it. I have to say its pretty good.
