I am a stay at home Mom of 2, soon to be 3 children. We recently moved to to Juneau, Alaska. I love taking care care of my home and my family. And with the amount it rains here, it gives me plenty of days to bake hahaha.
My favorite things to cook
Boy I don't know if I have a singular favorite, I just know that I love to cook new and interesting dinners with my husband and of course baking any thing and every thing with/for my children.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite traditions are deeply rooted in memories of my Grandmother and all my aunts getting together and making huge family dinners, baking, canning and swapping recipes. The holidays, especially Christmas was always full of large family gatherings with tons of home made goodies.
My cooking triumphs
I think my greatest cooking triumphs are baking a great loaf of wheat bread that isn't a super dense lump and actually tastes great, along with just baking any thing in general. I love to bake and the thing I bake best is probably my cinnamon rolls. I always get asked to bring those to any event we go to where there is food.
My cooking tragedies
Oh yes that would have to be my attempt at making eggplant parmesan... I fried my eggplant in wayyyy too much olive oil and the whole thing came out like one big gelatinous mess. My kids were super about it and tried to eat it anyways, til my husband and I tried it and it was so gross hahaha, we ordered pizza that night!
