I married the love of my life on June 10, 2005 and gave birth to our first son October 15, 2005. Insta-family! I didn't really have much interest in cooking until I became pregnant - I guess my appreciation of food really changed when the cravings began! My new sister-in-law is a cooking inspiration; everything she creates is a feast. As for me, I'm working on feeding my little family, and so far there's been no complaints! There's really nothing better than coming home to a ready-to-eat meal that's been simmering in the slow-cooker all day, filling the house with aromas and not only ready-to-eat but easy-to-clean! Lately I've been looking for recipes that use lime juice and fresh cilantro...we love love LOVE fresh cilantro! And because my best friend is italian, I try to keep italian recipes on hand to impress her and her husband. I'm also starting to experiment with soups (I have a black bean soup recipe that is the BEST) and desserts, like creme brulees and rice pudding.
