My turkey turned out very moist. I couldn't find turkey stock, so I bought chicken. I made my own turkey stock by boiling the gizzards and neck with Mrs. Dash table seasoning and garlic. I added a little of the chicken stock to it. My 18 and a halfer took @6 1/2 hrs to cook, so I'm not sure about that 4hrs written for only a half pound less. It was well worth the wait.

I stuffed my turkey with this recipe. I don't know if the taste makes up for the look. My husband liked it, so that is the most important. It wasn't what I was hoping for. Maybe, if I had used the cubed stuffing..it wouldn't have been so mushy.

I was raised on sweet potatoes with marshmallows, my favorite. I tried this recipe for Thanksgiving, and I have to say this has taken the lead. My husband and I loved it. It's soo good, I'm confident enough to make it again for Christmas at my parents house! I did take someone's advice in an earlier review and only did 1/4 of the white sugar. Thank you for this delicious recipe.
