I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. My Mother was an excellent cook and loved to cook all kinds of recipes. She taught me the basics of cooking. I love to bake and change recipes day to day. I'm self taught in many fine dishes from Mexican to Italian and Thai. I love to Bake, the one recipe that I found on this website is Five Flavor Pound cake. I bake this cake for my co-workers and they love it. Thanksgiving is the big cooking family tradition for my family. There are 3 sisters in my family and all of us bring our best dishes that day. I can cook a mean T Bone Texas style! I killed a ham once. Never try to place a 12 lb bone in ham in a crock pot that is only 6 qts. It was one of those holidays when you asked yourself. What was I thinking???
