I´m a housewife with italian/caribbean family roots, born and raised in Panama City, married for 36 years with 4 children. I love my kitchen and enjoy to cook and bake for the family. I learned to cook during my first years of marriage when I discovered that I was good following recipes and creating myself. I took a pair of courses mainly in cake decorating and desserts. I run a small house-business, catering and baking between my friends. One of my specialties are the homemade desserts, i. e. tiramisu, rum cake, pinneapple upsidedown cake, different cheesecakes, triffles, etc etc. My father was a great italian and international cook and my mother was very good in desserts so I grew up tasting and smelling different seasonings and flavors. When I got married to a half-american, I started learning the american cooking traditions as: thanksgiving and christmas specialties from my mother-in-law who is a great cook as well. So, for me cooking and baking has been a continuing experience that challenge me everyday. My entire family is my greatest fan club and I like every happenning and celebrations because its offers me a new opportunity to please all of them. Every year I improve my skills cooking for up-to 60 people and this is a triumph for me since I started 33 years ago cooking for my husband and myself. A couple of times I have throw away a finished dessert because I did´nt approve the appearance of it. I did´nt care if it tastes ok.The food enters by the eyes to the stomach and the heart of the people."
