with 5060 reviews already posted, this recipe hardly needs another, however...This is a great recipe. And versatile.
The recipe says it makes 8, and as I wanted 24, I tripled the recipe...I got 33 good sized muffins. Next time, doubling will be plenty. I would suggest not over-filling the muffin cups as they spread out over the pan, making it harder to get them out of the muffin pan intact - especially if you aaa the topping.
I had no blueberries so I substituted frozen cranberries. No problem with berries sinking. My only mistake was in chopping the berries because they were so big. Next time I'll leave them whole for more flavor. Also, this muffin really doesn't need the extra sugar via the topping. I made half with, and half without, topping and my sweet-tooth husband agreed: the muffins are good enough without.
