Manicotti Alla Romana

This recipe was awesome! The only changes I made was halved the ground beef for italian sausage and added in mushrooms & green peppers into the filling. Hubby says definitely a keeper!

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Very good but make sure you buy a good quality balsamic vinegar or it will taste sort of sour.

Garlic Chicken

I've made this several times, I've added different things to spice things up with the coating. I've used ranch dip powder, italian seasonings, chili powder, etc. (Not all at the same time).

Amish Bread

This is the BEST bread recipe! The crumb is really nice and soft without being crumbly. I've made this bread 3 times now, each time it came out PERFECT!

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
Great recipe. I made a few changes, some of them major. I used chicken thighs instead of pork. I used a cup of tomato sauce, instead of fresh tomatoes (neither of us like tomatoes fresh). I cooked the chicken thighs, onions, & fresh garlic together.

Jerky Lover's Jerky - Sweet, Hot and Spicy!

This was a great recipe. Definitely a keeper! I made it exactly as stated, next time I'll probably cut back on the liquid smoke, I think it might have been too much.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
This recipe was awesome! I made some minor changes, I crushed the garlic instead of sliced it. I used marble, asiago, parmesean, and smoked gouda cheeses. I also added some italian bread crumbs to the top. It was just fabulous! Note: I just tried it with garlic powder instead of fresh and it was gross!

Cajun Red Snapper

This was really good but it was too spicy for me (perfect for my hubby). I added bread crumbs to the seasoning mix. I'm going to try this again but with a different fish.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
This recipe was ridicously good BUT I had to make this recipe twice. The first time I baked the rolls at 400 F and after 5 minutes they were completely burnt (like black and starting to smoke, it was REALLY bad). So the 2nd time, I baked them at 350 F for 20 minutes and they were perfect. I would recommend this recipe to everyone!

Chicken and Bowtie Pasta with Asiago Cream Sauce

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
I think this recipe had great bones (the mushroom, bacon, chicken mix) was great together BUT nobody liked the sauce, it didn't really taste like anything. I probably would make this recipe again but with a different sauce.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
These were really really good. They're not exactly like RL BUT they're REALLY close. I made a few changes, I added the garlic, onion, & parsley mixture to the dough & then melted the butter & added the same amount of garlic, onion, & parsley mixture to the butter & brushed on top. Also, I halved the recipe to 10 servings. I used about a cup of shredded cheese. Also, one of the key parts to using Bisquick is to stir the mixture as little a possible, just enough to combine the ingredients. This recipe is definitely a keeper, I can't wait to make these again!

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
I used some of the suggestions posted, I sauteed the garlic, lemon, italian seasonings, & butter and I also added salt & pepper. Even with these changes, I thought the fish was really bland. The texture was a little off to, I cooked the fish at 400 F for about 25 minutes & still felt more like poached rather than baked fish. I don't think I would make this again as is.

Souvlaki

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
I thought this was a good recipe, I would definitely try this one again. I made a few changes though. I used 4 lemons instead of 1. I add a couple of tablespoons of greek spice/seasoning. I an added a small diced onion & diced green pepper to the marinade. I added about half a cup of Parmeasan Cheese to the marinade. I didn't add the soya sauce. Instead of the BBQ, I poured the pork & marinade into a pot & boiled everything for about an hour. I strained the pork out (I wasn't a big fan of the marinade as a sauce) & added it to some fettucini. Overall, this recipe was good & has a lot of potential for variations.
