About this Cook
Married 22 years, two kids, working from home, and a homeschool mom.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts are my favorite things to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I do Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter at my house. We will ask people from church to come over, those who may not be able to go home for the holidays namely the collage students in our church.
My cooking triumphs
My first cheesecake when I was 14
My cooking tragedies
My first cheesecake when I was 14. I took it out to our three season porch to cool and the door was closed I had the cheescake on a cooling rack, it slipped when I tried to open the door and well you can guess the rest.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
This is the best soup recipe. But, I did do a little change. After the Christmas ham, I boiled the ham off the bone with some bay leafs, onion and garlic. I used the water that I boiled the ham in for a replacement of the chicken bouillon and water. In regards to the milk I had one cup of heavy cream left over and I cut that with the skim milk we drink at my house. Added carrots with the cooking potatoes and celery. And a husband who does not normally eat soup has had his second bowl.

Creamy Caramel Flan
Made this for a Sunday afternoon Mexican dinner with friends. Everyone just loved it. It has more of a cheesecake texture than custard.
