Bacon Water Chestnut Rolls

NEVER ENOUGH!!! This is the best appetizer ever. They disappear so quickly that I now double the batch. For a single batch, I cut back the proportions on the sauce because it makes way too much. This is a true winner - simple and delicious.

Ultimate Potato Soup

My family had this soup for dinner tonight. No one was crazy about it mainly because it's not very hearty. It would make a good soup course if a main entree followed it. It is flavorful, but just not filling enough.

Corn Dog Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
This casserole was very bland and very dry. I think maybe two packages of hot dogs cut up would help improve it. Both of my teenagers and my husband said not to make it again.

Country Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
I was drawn to this casserole because it had meat, potatoes and vegetables all in one. Add a salad and you have a satisfying meal. Surprisingly though, it was very bland. I will make it again but definitely will try to spice up the hashbrowns with lots of salt and pepper and sauteed onions. I will also add the corn right in with the hashbrowns to save a step. Cooking for 40 minutes is plenty. I am also going to shred the chicken or cut it up into very small pieces.

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Very easy and simple. I do add a can of diced tomatoes for more chunkiness. Also a full box of pasta is too much after the soup sits and absorbs the liquid. I only use about 2/3.

How much poblano pepper do you use? It's not listed in the ingredients.

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

The sauce is the best part of this yummy recipe. I put the sauce in a serving bowl and dip the wraps into it rather thatn pouring it on top. Fantastic and easy!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
This muffin recipe had many steps and many ingredients so I was expecting them to be fabulous. They were just OK according to my family. I also had the problem of the cream cheese just sitting on top of the thick pumpkin batter. They were moist, but rather bland for our taste.

No Bake Peach Pie

I didn't care for the crunchiness of the peaches. This is just sliced peaches with some syrup on them. Not my favorite but easy to make.
