About this Cook
I have been married for 29 years to a wonderful man who is my best friend and food critic. We have two wonderful children, one terrific Son-in-Law,one Grandson who is the love of our life and the recent addition of our beautiful Granddaughter.
My favorite things to cook
I really like trying new recipes, I am very interested in ethnic cooking. My family is very easy to please so it makes it easy on me to try new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving without a doubt is my favorite. It's just all about food and family. My daughter cooked her very first complete Thanksgiving when she was only 12. We still laugh at the pictures of her looking exhausted while mashing the potatoes.
My cooking triumphs
Again I would have to say Thanksgiving, after preparing it almost every year for 27 years I think I have it perfected.
My cooking tragedies
So many, as a newlywed just about everything I made was a tradgedy. I have not really gotten into baking, which is fine because my Son-in-Law has. He made Christmas Dinner for everyone this year and his Apple Pie was amazing(homemade crust and all).

Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing
The dressing really makes these tacos. I used cod and it was very good, I know it's not as good for you but we prefer deep frying the fish.

Antipasto Pasta Salad
This is so good, only made a few changes. I used havarti cheese, added some diced artichokes and I used grape tomatoes. Took it on a picnic in the mountains and everyone loved it. The dressing really makes the salad.

Stir-Fried Vegetables
I was a little apprehensive at first because of the Corn Starch. I should have went with my gut feeling and left it out. It ruined the whole idea of stir fry by having a sauce like quality to it.
