About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom of the two most amazing little boys in the whole world. Their names are Jack and Brady. Their daddy, the love of my life, is Steven.
My favorite things to cook
My Spinach Artichoke Dip gets rave reviews, as well as my chicken enchiladas and chicken, spinach and rice skillet.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When we make a "grandma reciepe" we never measure anything, because grandma didn't. That makes it interesting, because it changes just a little bit every time you cook.

Easy to Remember Pie Crust
This is the recipe that my grandma has used for years. We usually add a pinch of salt, and I like butter flavored shortening. It doubles nicely for a two crust recipe (ie: apple or cherry)

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
I thought it was a good base recipe, but it really needed some zing. Maybe a little pepper jack, or a sharper, more flavorful cheese. I almost tasted like mac and cheese with potatoes. I will use it as a base again, but will make some upgrades!

Snappy Green Beans
I made mine with fresh green beans, red wine vinegar, bacon with just a little grease (just enough to barely cover the bottom of the skillet), onion and fresh minced garlic. I needed to add a little water about half way thru to finish cooking the beans, but OH BABY was it good when it was done! I only gave it 4 stars because it was amazing with changes... as written, it's 4 stars, how I made it it's 5 stars!
