My interests, other than cooking include historiacal reasearch, scale model building, and music.
Professionally, I manage the Marine Division for the local government, where my job includes managing three marina facilities, safety and navigation assets, and related areas.
My wife and I have two grown children, who both live in Las Vegas. My son graduated from the CIA in 2000,is currently a chef in a four star establishment.
My grandparents instilled in us that a man should always know how to cook, and I found I really enjoy it. I do most of the cooking at home, which must have rubbed off on my son!!
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook on the grill as much as possible. I like to make Southern and Italian food, but will try just about anything.
Due to allergies, I can't eat any seafood, or anything that contains peppers, so I've had to adjust what is made in my kitchen.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has strong southern roots, and that has influenced the fare presented. Biscuts and gravy and pork chops were a regular offering.
My cooking triumphs
I make a ham dinner for 100 peolpe at our church each year. No one has gotten sick, yet!!!
My cooking tragedies
I made something my dogs wouldn't eat. The resulting pizza was really good!!!
