Pretzel Turtles
Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies
About this Cook
I am actually a very picky eater so it is funny that I am even on here. I love desserts and I like mostly breakfast foods so I have a bit of a sweet-tooth. Since I don't cook often, I lean towards simple recipes with "everyday" ingredients.. because I am a spontaneous baker so I have to have it onhand.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake desserts to share with the girls at work but I also like breakfast foods. I have a lot of parties that I go to on the weekends so I am usually taking an appetizer or dessert.
My favorite family cooking traditions
None yet really. Mom and I used to make stained glass candy and fill jars as gifts but went through NUMEROUS candy thermometers and haven't really done it since.
My cooking triumphs
egh--- I will put one on here once it occurs.
My cooking tragedies
I once made a chocolate mint pie for Christmas and since it is pie-- you can't really try it before you serve it. I used concentrated mint oil only used TABLESPOONS instead of TEASPOONS... you can figure out the rest. It was like eating a chocolate toothpaste pie. Everyone was very sweet about it though.

Pretzel Turtles
These not only taste delish but they are easy to make and they look store bought! I made mine two ways: one with the "tie" pretzel and rolos and then I made a batch with the square "snaps" pretzel and Dove chocolate covered caramels. The square with the Dove was much better quality and looked better as well...just BARELY press the pecan onto it because the caramel will ooze out! I have already bought the ingredients to keep on hand so I can make these anytime. You will NOT be disappointed in these turtles. OH-- I also drizzled mine with white chocolate and that seemed to dress them up.

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies
I am usually hit or miss with the consistancy of cookies but these came out PERFECT! Great taste and texture. I baked them on a silicone baking sheet for about 9 minutes or so. Easy recipe and great results.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
Made these this morning for my man and got RAVE REVIEWS from him (and he is PICKY!) I have tried several pancake recipes from this site and these were by far the best. They were fluffy AND tasty-- and the ingredients were all common ingredients that I have already! I think my search for the perfect pancake has ended today :-)
