Grandma's Noodles II

These are great! I added the baking powder although next time I think I will omit it. The thick noodles took longer to cook and some of them were still doughy. But still a great recipe.....Thank you!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

I was looking for a new stuffing this year instead of the normal sausage type. I just wish that I had read this entire recipe before I started. The serving size is 16, I was only feeding 6. I had measured, cut and cooked all the ingredients up to the bread crumbs and then realized I didn't have enough crumbs. I went ahead with the recipe cutting back on the final ingredients. It came out wonderful, everyone loved it. I also took it out of the crock and baked it for about 30 minutes in the oven just to give it a little crunch. Thanks for the great recipe!

Grilled Whole Turkey

When I told my family that I was going to grill the turkey this year they thought I was crazy. I was up at 6 AM in 22 degree weather preheating the grill. I set the turkey on to sear it and couple minutes went back out to check it. As soon as I opened the lid the propane ran out. Standing the cold I wondered if I had made the wrong choice. After hooking up the full propane tank, I went back to searing the bird. I am so glad that I went through this adventure! The bird came out PERFECT with lots of flavor and very moist. They only thing that I miss was the crunchy skin that you get with a oven baked bird but the skin is bad for you right? Thanks for the great recipe, this will be a family tradition.

Butterhorn Rolls

I messed up on time and didn't allow for enough rise time. Even so, the rolls were light, fluffy and flavorful! I was a bit concerned the night before when I put the dough in the fridge, it was very sticky and not at all like dough. Although after just a little kneading they rolled out great. Thanks for the great recipe!

Sauerkraut And Potato Soup

We were snowed in this weekend and I did not go to the store before the storm settled in. I found that I had most of the ingredients for this and it really was good. I did not have tomato paste so I used ketsup nor did I have any beer so I just used beef broth. I will make it again with all the correct ingredients. Thanks for another good recipe in my box!

Come on people....why does everyone have to add and delete from a recipe???? This was a very good loaf as directed. Change it as you wish but it is as good as it is listed!!! Try it once as listed and then make changes. Thanks Tink

Cowboy Mashed Potatoes

I have been making these for years. Anytime we have steak or chops my husband asks for these potatoes. The best part about them - you can't really mess them up and you can change the ingredients. Use any kind of potatoes, cheese, peppers tastes great everytime.

Awesome Egg Rolls

Very good flavor I did not change a thing. I messed up and bought wonton wrappers instead of egg roll. I can't wait to make them the right way and eat a big egg roll instead of a mini one!

Enchiladas

After I printed this recipe I went to the freezer and found no ground beef. I used chicken breast instead, boiling and shredding the chicken before adding it tp the spices and water. It turned out wonderful! I'll try it next week with beef. Thank you!

Monte Cristo Sandwich - the Real One

I have made these twice - they are my favorite. I always add more meat and cheese to the sandwhiches and this time I had it with Cranberry Orange dipping sauce (found on this site). Wonderful flavor mix to the sandwhich!
