About this Cook
I am happily married. We have one child a son. He is 12. He likes to cook with me. We enjoy eating family dinners together.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are family favorites like spaghetti, mac and cheese, chicken quesadillas. But we also like to try new things. I love to bake. Cookies, cakes, brownies you name it!! Especially if there is chocolate involved.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking traditions would have to be cabbage rolls. My Aunt makes them the best!!! Also, my mom's chili, and her meatloaf. Those are favorites.
My cooking triumphs
I am not sure I have any cooking triumphs. I guess if I had to name something it would be that I make German Chocolate Cake and the Caramel Pecan Icing all from scratch. It tastes so much better than the boxed kind.
My cooking tragedies
One time I marinated chicken breast in italian dressing. I failed to notice that the dressing had a vinegar base. The chicken was terrible. It absorbed all the vinegar and was so bitter. My husband did not say anything he just kept eating it. When I tasted it I realized what had happened. I said "this is terrible!" He said "yes but I didn't want to say anything!!!" That was very sweet of him. Luckily we had a frozen pizza so that is what we ate that night.

Garlic Parmesan Orzo
Very tasty! Nice and creamy. I added some sour cream and it turned out great.
