About this Cook
I consider myself to live a healthy lifestyle but I have a sweet tooth. I am always looking to adjust my recipes for a healthier appeal. BUT sometimes you just have to make them as rich and sinful as the recipes say.
My favorite things to cook
Everything, especially if it is tastey and healthy. I also love to bake. My sweet tooth is my downfall. But I love to make food for people and always ask 1000 times if they like it. Tons of my friends rave about my cooking/baking, but I'm still learning.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Big get togethers. I love to have people over to just socialize and eat.
My cooking triumphs
I made Beef wellington, the best garlicky creamy mashed potatoes. I make a healthy "meatloaf". These are things my husband will eat. I am more into veggies :)But he has gone from corn and green beans to all kinds of fruits and veggies b/c of me ... guess thats a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Tried making my own corn dogs, baked with a recipe on foodnetwork. The cornbread part would have made an excellent cornbread but it just wouldn't stick to the hot dogs. Afterwards I read reviews and it was a recipe problem. But I was never so upset.

World's Best Lasagna
I made this for a small group of people, thank goodness 2 people didn't make it, it was gone so quickly. And I had my sister and my mother-in-law ask for the recipe. Everyone was saying it was the best lasagna they ever had. PLUS it did fall apart at all. I was impressed.

Scotcharoos
Chewy, crunchy and great flavor. The chocolate topping doesn't always turn out the way this recipe describes it too. So I just do it the way I know how too. Even if you don't like butterscotch, it is so subtle you won't even notice it. It is a wonderful combination, and a great no bake recipe.

Saltine Toffee Cookies
So easy, so crispy, chewie and sweet. Many of my friend's favorite coookies (I use whole wheat saltines and they don't even know it)
