I'm in the Air Force, currently pursuing my masters degree in meteorology. I am married to my wonderful husband of almost 3 years, Carl, who is in the restaurant management business, so I always have a good food critic on hand! He's been lending me his well-honed natural talents in the kitchen for the past year or so :) We have a houseful of animals who we adore: Nero, our 1yr old Rottweiler, Ricky and Dougy, our 3 year old cats, and our lone turtle Fattie (just recently lost her partner in crime, Jakie, more formally, Jake and the Fatman). So between our animals, our careers, and our kitchen, we are happily busy! I love vegetables and cooking healthy. Christmas, by far. It's the one time of year everyone's skills come together to produce an amazing feast for us all to share at one table. I'm working on mastering family recipes for cheesecake, meatballs, and pasta sauce. I've gotten homemade mac and cheese and a few trademark desserts down so far to keep around. Oatmeal and raisin cookies, actually...they actually tasted like cardboard!
