I grew up outside of New Orleans. What a place to develop a love of great food! Cajun/Creole food-especially jambalaya. On Thanksgiving my mom gives my sisters and I each a dish to be responsible for making. I can still remember the first time my little sister tried to make mashed potatoes and they went flying out of the mix master all over the kitchen. I like to think they all are, but I'm sure they aren't. So as long as my husband and friends will eat it, I think it's a triumph. Any time I try to bake cookies or a pot roast.
