YUMMY FOR TUMMY! I prepare the bacon, but I leave it out and let everyone put it on top as a garnish that wants it. Such a glorious comfort food!

PERFECT! DO NOT CHANGE A THING! I have been making this cake for years and have many rave reviews and am asked to bring this often to many places. I would not recommend changing this to not be "sweet" as it is MEANT to be a CAKE and SWEET and RICH! IT IS! YUM YUM! A REAL TRIED AND TRUE WINNER!

I LOVE THIS RECIPE! This is almost my recipe except to kick it up I add a few dashes of hot sauce and one dash of vinegar to cut the tomato sauce a little. I use brown sugar rather than white and I add extra according to taste - some of my family likes it a little sweeter, so I make it all different ways!i also add a tablespoon of mustard and one whole diced onion! I use more chili powder than this recipe as we like ours a little "bolder". I use only McCormicks Chili powder as I do not get the same results with every powder. HAPPY COOKING AND ENJOY THOSE DOGS!

This is a fantastic recipe and a super change from the regular, easy 3 ingredient ones I always used to make. If you want great flavor and that homeade taste, these are the way to go!

This is the BEST EVER! This is "HOME" for me and very close to the way my Mother prepared her chicken casserole. People always asked for it when they came to our house or when there was a special occasion or pot luck. NO matter how many time sI make it, it never tastes quite as good as hers and that "homey" country feeling that warms your tummy and heart! Happy cooking and enjoy this comfort food!

These are THE BEST EVER!!! I have been making these for several years now and they are great this way, but I usually mix in a little mayo and I always add Old Bay seasoning and some cocktail sauce, and a few scallions, according to taste. Many times I make this as a WARM DIP for crackers or breads and heat it in a casserole dish with cheeses and parmesan melted on top. It is fabulous either way and I hope you try it - it is the rave when I take it to Christmas dinner (since all the other food is traditional, folks LOVE it!)and I have people actually ask me to bring it to functions and no one seems to forget the wonderful flavors. Delicious! I love anything with cucumber, and this recipe is unlike any other. you absolutely must try it!
