When I was simmering the ingredients in the saucepan, my husband complained about the smell. Made it twice just to be sure I did it right and even though it did smell the same, I charged ahead and put it on the chicken anyway. Thank goodness I did! This is one of the prettiest dishes (and now a favorite of my husband's.) I have ever made. Also, I had doubled the recipe for a party and it was a huge hit all around and very easy.
